(London Post – Exclusive Report): The meeting of heads of states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place in Dushanbe tomorrow. Along with the Summit, Dushanbe will host meetings of Foreign and Defence Ministers Councils and Committee of Heads of Security Councils of the CSTO member-states.

Republic of Tajikistan’s Ambassador in the UK Mr Erkin Kasymov outlines the Embassy’s work with The British Museum to highlight Tajikistan’s cultural heritage in the UK in his article to “Diplomat” Magazine.

In order to enrich the Republic of Tajikistan’s cultural heritage representation in the UK, the Embassy in London presented a collection of ethnographic Tajik artefacts to The British Museum in July. Attended by Director of The British Museum Mr Neil MacGregor, members of the museum’s Middle East Department and representatives from the Embassy, the ceremony handed artefacts that I had collected, along with Tajikistan’s Trade Representative in the UK, Mr Sakhibov Shamsullo.

Tajikistan’s Ambassador of to the Court of St James’s, Erkin Kasymov, outlines the Foreign Minister’s UK visit

The Republic of Tajikistan’s Foreign Minister Mr Sirodjidin Aslov visited London this summer (1 to 3 July) at the invitation of the UK government. During his visit, the Minister held bilateral talks with the then Minister of State for International Development Alan Duncan and (the now former) Senior Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Baroness Warsi.He also met with the President of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti, and the Speaker of the House of Lords Baroness D’Souza, took part in the meeting with UK business community, and delivered the statement in the House of Lords.

The Republic of Tajikistan established diplomatic relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in 1992 straight after the independence. Both countries have opened their respective Embassies.
