The concert marked the celebration of Shakespeare’s 450th Birthday, the programme included some of outstanding works of Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian and Yuri Ter Osipov.
Famous works of Tolib Shakhidi were also introduced during the performance. Such as Romance for voice and orchestra based on Shakespeare’s sonnet Devouring Time, Procession of warriors from the ballet The Rubaiyat of Khayyam, Dances from the opera Komde Va Madan (written by outstanding Tajik composer Ziyodullo Shakhidi, whose 100th anniversary celebrated this year in association with UNESCO).
