Meeting on the prospects of joint scientific research in literature and anthropology in Tajikistan and the United Kingdom

On July 25, 2017 the Embassy organised the meeting under the title "Prospects of joint scientific research in literature and anthropology in the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom". Dr. Munira Shahidi, the Chairperson of Ziyodullo Shahidi International Foundation for Culture, Research Fellow of the Swedish Institute, Affiliated Member of the Cambridge University took part as a special guest and made a speech.

Dr. Munira Shahidi talked about cultural dialogue between eastern and western countries from the ancient period and contribution of great Tajik scientists and thinkers to the world literature. She, also stressed on the role of young generations on preserving national cultural values and their further promotion and introduction to the world community.

The event was attended by Dr. Jalal Badakhshani, Chairman of British-Tajik Society “Payvand”, Dr. Dagi Dagiev, Vice-Chairman of British-Tajik Society “Payvand” students and Tajikistan citizens.

During the meeting participants made some comments on other issues, such as importance of effective implementation of state youth policy, contribution in development of modern science and cultural sectors in Tajikistan, the role of science and culture in development of bilateral relationship between Tajikistan and the United Kingdom.
