Famous Tajikistan artist miniaturist Mr Olim Kamalov was awarded First Place Prize at Award Ceremony of the International Ethnographic Festival-Contest "EthnoArtFest" in the nomination "Ethnocultural traditions of the Republic of Tajikistan"

The event took place on November 4, 2016 at the exhibition hall of Rossotrudnichestvo in London and was a culmination of a series of cultural events held in the UK dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The Prize was given by Managing Director of the Festival Mr Rinat Kuramshin to daughter of Tajik artist Ms Mumtoz Alice Kamolzoda.

Also, among other winners of the Festival Ms Mariam Gaibova meritorious dancer of the Republic of Tajikistan was awarded Certificate of appreciation to for presentation of Tajik culture and dance in the United Kingdom.

Fashion show with catwalk of national costumes was a part of the program. The event was attended by representatives of the Embassies of CIS countries, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, prominent members of art and culture, diaspora of the countries of the region.

Mr Asliddin Rakhmatov, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the UK expressed his sincere gratitude to organisers, congratulated all winners and participants and wished them every success in future.
