First ever Tajikistan theatrical performance has been played in London!

“The Fool’s Court” performance was a part of 1st Open Central Asian International Festival and has been played by actors of Konibodom State Music and Drama Theatre named after Tuhfa Fozilova.

The audience among whom were prominent members of the UK theatrical art and honoured workers of culture of the Republic of Tajikistan warmly responded and welcomed the play of Tajikistan actors.

“The Fool’s Court” is modern remake of the famous director Khodjakuli Ovlyakuli consisting of a few devised pieces about Shakespeare’s King Lear and Prince Hamlet in their final days.

Play of actors was amazing! The scenes of tense and emotional moments casted by actors Qodirov Ghairat, Juraev Muzaffar and Tukhtashev Farhod left no one indifferent.

After the show Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Tajikistan to the UK Asliddin Rakhmatov welcomed the audience, congratulated performers with excellent play and stressed on the role of this project to strengthen bilateral ties between two counties.
