The opening ceremony of the Exhibition “Ethnocultural Traditions” took place on the evening of July 5, 2016 at the exhibition hall of “Rossotrudnichestvo”. The exhibition marks the 25th anniversary of Commonwealth of Independence States and represents works by artists from CIS countries.

Tajikistan is represented by works of honoured artist of Tajikistan Mr.Olim Kamalov which displayed extraordinary beauty, elegance and sophistication of miniature painting. Bright colours and unique execution of his works attracted great interest of the exhibition visitors.

Charge d’Affares of the Embassy of Tajikistan to the UK Mr.Asliddin Rakhmatov at the opening ceremony welcomed guests and participants of the exhibition and stresses upon high importance of such events which contribute to the development of cross-cultural relations with the UK. He shortly briefed the audience on the works by the master Kamalov outlining unique character and techniques of his paintings.     

The Exhibition will run until 14 July.
