VISAS 

Documents: 

1. For business visa a letter with a request to issue a visa addressed to the Embassy of Tajikistan. Please, indicate the purpose of your trip, your contact in Tajikistan, the dates of your planned trip, and places to be visited.

2.   A completed visa application form (one per person).

For Tourist Visa flight booking or travel itinerary should be attached to the Application form.

3.   A valid passport together with a photocopy, which should have at least two blank pages for a visa. Your passport must be valid for at least three months longer than the validity of the requested visa.

4.  One passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled to the marked space in the upper right hand corner of the application form.

Fee for visas

Permit to travel to Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) is £50

FOR THE CITIZENS OF TAJIKISTAN

PASSPORT SERVICES

The Consular Section of the Embassy of Tajikistan to the UK accepts applications to extend validity of expiring or expired foreign passports.

In order to extend the validity of a passport the following documents should be submitted:

Passport (both original and copy);

Letter of request (zayavlenie);

Copy of document of residence;

If applying by post a self-addressed prepaid envelope must be included.

For the time being the Embassy of Tajikistan is not able to issue passports. The Embassy can accept passport applications and forward them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan for the proceeding. The passports will be issued in Tajikistan and sent back to the Embassy in London.

In order to forward passport applications to Tajikistan the following documents should be submitted:

Tajikistan National Passport (both original and copy);

Letter of request (Zayavlenie);

Four passport photos (3.5X4.5 cm);

Copy of document of residence;

If applying by post a self-addressed prepaid envelope must be included.

There is no exact turnaround time for this process.

If you lose a passport while in the UK, you must do the following:

• Report you passport lost or stolen to the police. You need a Police Report to carry with you until you receive a certificate from the Embassy of Tajikistan.
• Report the loss to the Embassy of Tajikistan in London

Certificate for return to the Republic of Tajikistan

In cases where the applicant must travel urgently, the Embassy can issue a certificate for return to the Republic of Tajikistan. The certificate will be valid for 30 days.

The applicants should submit the following:

Copy of National Passport;

Letter of request (zayavlenie);

Two passport photos (3.5x4.5 cm);

Copy of document of residence;

Police Record;

If applying by post a self-addressed prepaid envelope must be included.

The Certificate will be issued free. For any additional information, please contact the Embassy.

LEGALIZATION

The following procedure should be observed before submitting the documents to the Embassy of Tajikistan for legalization:

-          a cover letter from requesting organization or letter of request from private person and one copy of each document;

Documents have to be authenticated in the following order: signed before a notary public and certified by theFCO Legalisation Office, Norfolk House (West), 437 Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes, MK9 2AH;

-          if applying by post a self-addressed prepaid envelope must be included.
